Nice to meet you, dear visitor, my name is maria.

I am a Ukrainian artist from Kyiv, currently based in berlin.

My artistic language has been shaped by a diverse background, including classical training in piano and choir singing, improvisational vocal practices, engagement with cross-ethnic musical traditions while pursuing a degree in cultural studies, and later studies in music production and sound engineering.

Alongside my solo artistic practice, I compose music for film, create sound design for visual media, and work in audio concept development and sound supervision. I enjoy building sonic worlds that support narrative, shape emotional continuity, adding a sense of psychological space within moving images.

Whether I am composing for films, theatre, or dance performances, designing a sonic environment, or supervising a soundtrack, I dive deep into your vision, developing soundscapes that serve as an amplification of your artistic voice. While remaining a dedicated sound professional committed to my craft, I strive to be not only a skilled collaborator, but also a loyal and reflective companion throughout your creative journey.

Every project is different, and so is every collaboration.

Whether you are making a film, a performance, a record, or something that doesn't fit neatly into a category, I'd be happy to explore it with you.

Here are some of the roles I have experience in:

  • Curating the right team of musicians and sound specialists for your project, developing its sonic concept in close collaboration with you, and supporting the creative process with research whenever needed.

  • Creating music and sound design for your project through vocal and instrumental layering, twisting and transforming foley recordings and samples, while maintaining the sonic aesthetic and emotional atmosphere you envision.

If we are working on a theatre production or dance performance, I am also happy to support the work live, bringing vocals, electronics, and performative elements into the space when needed.

  • Collaborating with you on a single, EP, or full-length album as a vocalist, songwriter, and producer — either through a deeply collaborative co-creation process or as a featured artist.
